Mira Androniciuc
Investment Associate
Mira joined the DSW Ventures team as an Investment Associate in August 2025, building from her academic research background.
She first obtained her Master’s in Medicinal Chemistry from University College London. In that time, and during her internship at the Institute of Cancer Research (Sutton, UK), she worked on developing new synthetic routes to valuable classes of drug-like compounds. Mira then moved to the Francis Crick Institute for a PhD programme, jointly with Imperial College London.
For her PhD research, she genetically modified fruit flies to identify novel proteins involved in a key developmental pathway (which is upregulated in some cancers) towards future therapeutic avenues. Mira stayed on at the Crick as a postdoctoral research assistant to complete the publication of her PhD research before leaving academia for venture capital.
Outside of work Mira enjoys cooking, long walks, buying plants and she has a belt in kickboxing (not black).
