November 2025: Rapidly growing hybrid fitness platform ROXFIT has doubled its user base following an £800k funding round earlier this year led by DSW Ventures.
The funding round, completed in May, was led by DSW Ventures with co-investment from regional angel group York Angels, alongside further angel backing from investors across Europe and the United States.

Since securing the investment, ROXFIT has achieved rapid growth, doubling downloads from 90,000 to more than 180,000 and expanding its team from two to eight members.
Originally launched in 2024, the platform has already become a leading tool for hybrid training enthusiasts. The app enables users to analyse race results in detail, access a growing library of structured workouts, build their own sessions and use PaceMe, a smartwatch feature that supports accurate pacing during both training and race events.
With growing customer demand the team has now launched ROXFIT 2.0, a major update that transforms the app into the first dedicated social and training platform designed specifically for hybrid athletes. ROXFIT 2.0 introduces a fully redesigned social home feed, a more sophisticated AI-powered training engine, deeper analytics and improved race-day tools.
ROXFIT’s rapid growth reflects the momentum building across the hybrid fitness sector. Participation in events such as HYROX has doubled every year for the past five years, reaching around 800,000 athletes this season and projected to grow to 1.8 million by the 2026/27 season.
Looking ahead, ROXFIT still has its sights firmly set on expansion, with ambitions to grow its users to 210,000 by the end of the year. To meet growing demand, it’s also aiming to expand its team further to around 15 people. Development is also underway on a fully fledged AI training interface, including an in-app assistant which will deliver a more intuitive, personalised experience for athletes.
Ben Wilson, Co-founder of ROXFIT, said: “When I started racing in 2022, it was clear the tools hybrid athletes needed simply didn’t exist. Through ROXFIT, we are changing that, and ROXFIT 2.0 is another important step forward.
“The funding and support from DSW Ventures have been significant in helping us progress. Their experience in scaling digital products has allowed us to stay focused on building the best possible experience for our users, while benefitting from strategic guidance that helps us move faster.”
Doug Quinn, Partner at DSW Ventures, said: “Hybrid fitness is one of the fastest-growing community sports in the world, and ROXFIT 2.0 brings everything these athletes need into one place. Working with Ben and the team as they’ve scaled the platform to over 180,000 users has been fantastic. ROXFIT represents exactly the kind of high-growth business we’re committed to backing, giving founders the strategic support they need to scale confidently and move quickly.”
